January 2025 – Matthew – Part 1
A scripture we all know really well, and one perhaps not often thought of as we go into a new year is found in chapter 11 and verse 29 of Matthew. ” “Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle & lowly in heart and you will find rest for your souls.”
As you say goodbye to 2024, and begin 2025, why don’t you place yourself alongside Jesus in his yoke. Open your heart and mind to learn the rhythms of his way of living. He is gentle and lowly, not forceful and demanding and perhaps the year ahead will be full of peace. Perhaps your soul will find the rest its really looking for – and that is found in Jesus himself!
