October is the month! The month it all began and the month we celebrate MUCH!
Like anything new, one has to start small, take things step by step and continue to grow. When I started this blog, I didn’t event have a ‘logo’ or ‘branding‘ or anything iconic to be displayed and for hope.of.heart. to be recognised by. About 2 or 3 years ago, when I ‘put my blog out there’ and made my blog more public, I quickly created an image to go with it. As this year has approached, and due to the method I used to create this initial image, I was wanting to change it, but couldn’t easily edit it. And so…………I have ever so slightly redesigned my logo and edited my website layout and design!
When looking at my logo, you see a heart and probably think it’s just a cool, simple, scribble pattern. However, this particular ‘scribble’ reminds me of the graph result of a scan, called an ECHOCARDIOGRAM, or more commonly termed an ECG, which I have every year at my annual check up with the cardiologist.
So what is an ECG? An ECG is a simple test whereby electrodes are placed on my skin around my heart on my chest, at the ankles of my feet and also at the wrist of my arm. These are connected to the ECG machine and the electrical activity of my heart is measured and recorded as a drawn graph. It also provides information about my hearts rate and rhythm.
So what better pattern for the heart element of my logo to be representing the rate and rhythm of my heart. The beat it keeps and the life and hope this symbolises. Thoughts of hope is of course the foundation of what my writing and this blog is all about.
So scroll to the bottom to see my new artworks and please let me know what you think of the new look for hope.of.heart in the comments below!
Appreciate each one of you readers and followers!
