What an amazing week and Sunday of the global church creatively leaving the building and making a way to intentionally and purposefully meet to worship and to feast around the word of God from our homes! We have made history and continue to be part of HIS story that He is so beautifully writing!
Psalm 91 has been a gift to me during this time:
Psalm 91:1-2
“Those who go to God Most High for safety will be protected by God All-powerful. I will say to the Lord, “You are my place of safety and protection. You are my God, and I trust in you.”” (ICB)
What a wonderful promise to us. As we choose to go to God Most High today, and every other day, for safety, He assures us that there we will be protected by Himself, the ALL-powerful and Almighty God. And as a friend of mine pointed out, its a CAPITAL A for All-powerful and Almighty!
It is a time for us to trust in Him. He is the omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient one. He is the same yesterday, today and forever, and so just as we have trusted Him for things in the past, we can continue to trust Him during the present trouble we face! He is our place of safety and protection. He is our strong tower. He is our refuge in the storm. He is our GOD!
Let’s choose to go to God, let’s choose to trust Him and let’s choose to hope in Him, as the lyrics of the amazing song, Cornerstone, by Hillsong worship declare:
“My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness
I dare not trust the sweetest frame
But holly trust is Jesus’ name
Christ alone, Cornerstone
Weak made strong in the Savior’s love
Through the storm
He is Lord
Lord of all
When darkness seems to hide His face
I rest on His unchanging grace
In every high and stormy gale
My anchor holds within the veil
My anchor holds within the veil
Christ alone, Cornerstone
Weak made strong in the Savior’s love
Through the storm
He is Lord
Lord of all”
During this time, may our hope be in the unchanging grace of our Lord Jesus Christ!
Much love and prayers to you all xxx
