3 December. Day 3.
This evening at our daughters prize giving event, we were reminded that advent means preparing for something or someone important to come and in Chapter 3 of Luke and verse 16 it points us to “he who is mightier than I is coming”. Isn’t it wonderful that we can anticipate and celebrate the coming of somebody “who is mightier than I”? Doesn’t it give us a sense of security that we have Jesus “who is mightier than I” seated at the right hand of the Father, petitioning, supporting and encouraging us on!
It is rather refreshing, rejuvenating and reviving to relax in the revelation that “he who is mightier than I” has come, and we can celebrate with joy! Oh come let us adore him as we look to Him, surrender to Him and trust Him with and for everything in our lives because Jesus is “mightier than I”!
