Seeing is believing

We have these amazing friends, the wife runs a non-profit organization for people with disabilities and the husband is almost totally blind. They have 2 gorgeous daughters, who are special friends with our daughter! We invited them over for dinner, and when I was thinking about what to cook, what dessert to make etc, it suddenly dawned on me that the husband would not be able to see the food prepared, or enjoy the presentation of it. Later that day, as I was driving and my thoughts were once again wandering, I thought about becoming a Christian and also those who are not Christians. Us as Christians have had our eyes opened to the glory and abundance and beauty of life in Christ and the freedom and LIFE which that brings, and yet those who don’t know Jesus and who haven’t accepted the invitation into his family, are blind to it all….they don’t enjoy the beauty, the glory and the freedom that comes from a life surrendered to the KING OF KINGS. My heart and prayer is that the eyes of their hearts would be opened to SEE the beauty of The Lord and BELIEVE in his name!
