He’s into the details

24 October 2010….as I was reminiscing over this date today, I had a flood of memories of all that happened 3 years ago! This date marks so many things…. It is the final diagnosis to visits to 16 medical professionals throughout the year, it is the beginning of the end of my deadly disease I was carrying, it is the life-changing day where I received a new heart, both physically and spiritually. It is the start of a lifetime of medication and also the start of NEW LIFE! You see, I should have passed away that week….and yet through the GRACIOUSNESS of God, I delivered a delightful princess into this world via emergency c-section, and I am alive and well!!!

We celebrated our delightful daughter, Cianna Hope’s 3rd birthday on Saturday, and since then I have seen such a change in her. It’s like she has grown up even more over night. I don’t get “I want” anymore, but rather, “mom can I have some juice” and she is enjoying playing on her own a little more and relieving me of my continual playdate status. It’s been such a privilege to watch her interact with her toys and her imagination is exploding! It’s just beautiful!

In my time with God today I was led to 2 Corinthians 5…. And the verse that made my heart leap was ” Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new” and the reason it got me so excited was because I do feel like a new creation since God restored and healed my heart with surgery and a prosthetic valve, and the old Lorryn has passed away and the new Lorryn is alive and well….and so it is with Cianna….it’s like she has blossomed and bloomed into a new creation since turning 3! God knows the details of everything and I am overwhelmed that this passage of His word was where he led me to today! Thank you Jesus!

This journey over the last 3 years has involved lots of tears, lots of laughs, lots of questions, lots of “why’s”, but most importantly an ABUNDANCE of life!! God has been incredibly GRACIOUS to us and for this I am extremely grateful and am determined to LIVE LIFE TO THE FULL!!!
